Overcoming Challenges

In the face of enormous challenges in Ugborodo land, graduates have been playing their role so far to alleviate the problem in their own small way. The reasons are not far fetch; (I)Graduates unemployment (ii)Lack of sponsorship for project/ program (iii) Low income/ under-employed graduates. Hence, a formidable platform like UGA becomes a necessity to chant the way forward.

Who are Ugborodo indigenes?
They are people who hails from Ugborodo community, an oil rich Itsekiri community in Warri Kingdom situated in the mangrove swamp along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, where it connects with the Escravos river in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State. Ugborodo community is made up of seven sub-communities which includes Ode-Ugborodo (the capital and ancestral home), Mandagho, Ajudiabo, Akpakpa, Ogidigben and Ijaghala
Can I join as an undergraduate?
As indigene of Ugborodo who is an undergraduate in any higher institutions of learning, you are not qualified to be a registered member, however, you can visit, by attending general meetings to observe and learn.
How can i be a participating member, if i base abroad?
UGA is a platform for all Ugborodo graduates indigenes in Nigeria and diaspora. With the present online and social media technologies, distance is no barrier, as communications and related matters are now easy to approach. Our online and social media presence, is building a strong united community of great impact.
How do I register today?
Contact UGA secretariate in Ode-Ugborodo or Ugborodo house in Warri or go online and do your registration. You can contact the executives of UGA.
